Realme smartphone prices will increase after Diwali

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth hinted about the price hike on Twitter.

Traffic is increasing, pollution is increasing and so are the global prices against the rupee. It's going to be long working days this diwali for us as we try our best to bring the same Power and Style to you at best prices. Hope diwali brings cheer to the rupee 😀😀

“The rupee rates are falling and as a brand we actually work on low margins. 

It indicates that we might have to upgrade the pricing, just to make sure that we continue to give you the best technology in our upcoming offerings.

We are trying to figure out a solution post Diwali.”

Recently Xiaomi also increased the prices of select smartphones and televisions in India after Rupee value depreciation in global market. 

A dollar value is around Rs 73 in India, and it has recently touched a record low of Rs 74.22 per dollar.

Realme claims to have sold more than 2 million units of Realme smartphones during the Big Billion Days and Festive Dhamaka Sale on Flipkart. 

The Realme 2 has been company’s best smartphone till date. 
It sold 1 million devices in just 40 days of the launch.
